Assisted Hatching (AH)
Prior to implantation, the developing embryos must hatch out from the zona pellucida (the shell). Failure of hatching may be one of the causes of unsuccessful implantation. Nowadays, various micromanipulation technieques have been developed to facilitate embryo hatching, such as laser assisted hatching.
